Children’s Church is available on Sundays during the second service hour, at 10:30am. It is similar to adult service, with singing and a lesson time, but done on a younger level to take advantage of shorter attention spans and diverse interests. Children’s church is a time to introduce kids 4 years old through 5th grade to the basics of a relationship with Jesus. They focus on an easy to understand lesson topic and learn what it means to be a Christian.
Sunday School is held during the first service hour on Sunday mornings at 9:00. Sunday school is a time where children are broken up into smaller age-appropriate groups that allow them to dig deeper into the Bible. They are able to ask questions and internalize deeper spiritual truths while building relationships with other kids and caring Christian adults.
The Nursery is available during both services to safely care for our youngest children, from 6 weeks through 24 months. They get the individual attention they need while learning that church is a safe place full of adults who love them. It also allows parents to worship, secure in the knowledge that their children are well cared for.
The 2s and 3s class is also available during both service hours to introduce this unique age group to simple Christian truths. They learn some basic Bible stories that help them understand that God loves and cares for them. At the same time, they connect to caring adults who help them learn to enjoy coming to church.
Club 45 meets on Sunday nights from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Any kids in 4th or 5th grade are welcome to join us. We load up in the church van and take a short trip to a local restaurant or home for a time of Bible study. We usually eat, learn about God and practice some spiritual disciplines. It’s a great time to learn about God and have a good time.
Club 45 meets on Sunday nights from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Club 23 is a time for 2nd and 3rd graders to really dig into their Christian faith. They spend time reading their Bibles, discussing it, and praying. It’s a deeper step for children who are serious about their faith.
E.T. 56 is a series of summer field trips for 5th and 6th graders. They go to museums, sporting events, zoos, and other exciting destinations, all the while learning more about God and building a bridge into Faith Christian Church’s middle school ministries.
Church Camp is a time for kids to focus on God without the distractions of every day life to steal their attention. Depending on their age, they spend anywhere from 1 to 7 days at Round Lake Christian Camp in Lakeville, Ohio drawing closer to God. It’s always a good experience, and sometimes, a life changing one.
Other Events throughout the year can include movie nights, lock-ins, fishing tournaments, Bible boot camp, harvest parties, and whatever else we can come up with! Check with the church office, or the church calendar for more details.
If you’re interested in serving in the Children’s ministry, we can find the right spot for you. Call or email Tessa Stutzman or Brian Flood or the church office for an application and to schedule an interview.
